NEW ULM - Local students showed across-the-board improvements on state reading and math tests known as MCAIIs, but some areas of concern remain. Overall, 64 percent of District 88 students were deemed proficient in math, and 76 percent passed the reading tests. That's higher than the state averages of respectively 62 and 71 percent.
