Washington Elementary Goes Solar (Berkeley Daily Planet)

Yesterday, construction workers for the Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD) laid down 480 solar panels on the roof of Washington Elementary School as part of a project by Kyoto USA, a climate change group located in Berkeley.

Sherman welcomes new teachers (KXII Sherman)

SHERMAN, TX -- Many Sherman schools are newly remodeled, and there are plenty of new teachers filling those renovated classrooms. The district helped welcome those educators on Friday. Stephanie Brletic reports from Washington Elementary about the district's newest additions.

LIBRARY: Student cards available (Marion Chronicle-Tribune)

The Van Buren Public Library offers student cards to Van Buren and Washington elementary students who do not live in Van Buren Township. The cards are available for $5 and are valid until August 2009. These cards allow the students to borrow books and magazines from the library.
